              MORTE DE METANO -  thrash metal  from Wilmington N.C.

Formed in early 2012, this is the third band from Chris Marshall and Daniel Monroe, Also featuring Shea Hooper on bass and Jason Hardy on vocals. Heavily influenced by metal punk/hardcore from South America and select bands from other Latin American country's. Sepultura, Ratos De Porao and Vulcano are the most apparent. Lyrical content deals mostly with social political conditions and writing looks to Noam Chomsky for inspiration. Morte De Metano means methane death in Portuguese and is a reference to methane poisoning in drinking water in areas located near methane extraction sites. Songs aren't preachy but do reflect subjects that are important to the members. With 3 solid shows in the books a demo release is expected by late summer.
